"My sister has lived happily with her friends and carers at Hylands for over 20 years. I have known David in his capacity as manager and carer throughout this time and I have always found him to be completely trustworthy and deeply committed to enabling the residents to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. The care home provides a very high standard of activities in the home and outside according to the needs and preferences of individual clients. My sister gets a lot of pleasure from spending time with her fellow residents and has been able to enjoy the level of independence in the community that she so desires. David maintains excellent communication with the family. As a result there is a sense of real partnership between the care home and the family. He ensures that my sister is fully involved in decisions and involves me where necessary. As I frequently travel overseas it means a lot to me to know that my sister is happy when I'm away and should any problems arise David would keep me fully informed and would be able to deal with them sensitively and effectively. This means I can have peace of mind while I'm away. Overall I feel that my sister is able to live her best possible life thanks to David's consistent and caring attention as a manager, and I deeply appreciate what he has done for our family."
