Two generations of the Hyland family and a long-serving care team who know every resident by name.
Meet the teamCaring for our residents goes hand in hand with caring for the world around us. We've invested in the systems and vehicles that help us run a cleaner, safer home.
Our small fleet of vehicles supports residents with all of their transport needs — from appointments to days out. Every vehicle is fully electric, kept in tip-top condition, and 5-star safety rated to keep residents and staff safe at all times.
The home runs entirely on electricity, supplied on a 100% green energy tariff. Cooking, hot water, lighting and appliances are all powered by renewable sources.
Heating and hot water are provided by a modern air-source heat pump system — efficient, low-carbon, and gentle on the environment without compromising on warmth and comfort.
A 27 kWh battery system keeps the home running seamlessly during a power cut — residents carry on as normal, often unaware the wider network is down. We charge the batteries overnight and draw on the greenest electricity during the day, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Set in the heart of Menai Bridge, Hyland has been welcoming residents for over 35 years. We believe great care starts with great relationships — knowing each resident, their story, and what makes them feel at home.
"My daughter has lived at Hyland for 34 years. She has been looked after so well and is very happy. She has a lovely bedroom decorated to her style. The home is beautiful. They enjoy very good food. Have varied activities. They go on holiday and stay in lovely accommodation. As a parent of someone with a learning disability one major concern is what will happen when you die. I know that my daughter will be cared for and live a happy life at Hyland."
"Our daughter has lived at Hyland for more than 20 years. She has always been treated with care and kindness. She likes to be kept busy and enjoys helping around the house. She goes swimming and riding and looks forward to trips out and going on holiday. As her parents we are kept well informed about her health and welfare. Hyland staff are always ready to discuss any issues that she may be worried about. Hyland is her home and she enjoys living there."
"The continuity of staff makes such a difference. They know my daughter inside out and treat her with real care and respect."
